I don't really believe in writer's block. Writing is your job, your habit, and so you write. When I feel unmotivated, I do research for my book. I get most my new ideas and plot lines just as I am falling asleep. For real. In that twilight state, my mind roams and I know what my characters must do next.

Read. Read everything in your genre that you can get your hands on. Write. Get your ideas on paper. Writing is a craft--one you have to learn. Read books on writing.
