Eva Lara I am currently editing my last novel, which will be released next autumn; it is almost ready for beta readers and then, after one more round and preparation for publishing, you will find it in Amazon.

This novel has been a challenge as it came to me in an unusual way and also the way of working on it has been different from my previous novels. The main character of the story develops her potential over a long period of time, which I never do in my books, in a way that her life is pretty much the story of the novel; she is a being connected to Nature, a child-woman that in past centuries was called a "witch", a creature whose energies collide with the conventions of the society in which she lives, in this case that of a small Aragonese village in the eighteenth century...
Eva Lara My advice is to believe in oneself and never quit writing, even when the world around you tells you that it is not worth it, or that you will not get to be published, or that it is a waste of time. We write because that's the way we express ourselves, to shape, create and share worlds and realities that exist only within us, it is our way of telling what we've learned in life; writing is never a waste of time and it is always worth it, it is always useful, to develop, to grow, to dream, think, feel, get into the skin of others, that´s why it is said that "writing makes you more human". My advice is to follow your heart, and if it tells you to write, that's exactly what you have to do.
Eva Lara I do not believe in writer's block, I do believe in getting into a more creative and inspired state to help the flow of writing. There are many ways to induce a mood that helps you write; the easiest and most obvious way is… writing, getting the habit of writing every day, the more we are used to writing regularly, the easier it will be to sit down and write, and the easier creativity will flow.
I also believe in hard work, and that good time management, materials and resources can help you advance in writing your novel. A good structure will allow you to write at any time, even when you do not feel much like writing, because you always know what comes next in the story.
Another issue is the result of the first draft, there will be bright parts and horrible parts, but nothing that a bit of work cannot solve. You always have to work on it, but if you have not written a single page because you are "blocked" there is nothing to correct or improve, there is nothing to work on and there will be no novel at all.
