If I can't write I set myself a modest target of a couple of hundred words describing a particular part of the story. If it involves a battle, I act it out in my mind and transcribe it after I have a feel for it. After that is written, I feel the jigsaw comes together and my block is a thing of the past.
A quiet room with no distractions also helps a great deal, children needing a drink every five minutes; only compounds the frustration.

I am currently working on the next chapter of the Sons of Asgard series. It is nearing completion and feel the book is taking the series on a different ride to previous books. I am also looking at writing some short stories that have collected on my hard drive over the years.
