The idea for the Stoddard School of Art series actually came from a smell. I was visiting art colleges with my son and realized that art schools all smell alike. It's a wonderful blend of paint, clay, canvas and ink. I've been an artist all my life, and this distinct odor has always had the creative power to calm and inspire me.
