I think its the responses i get from a facebook ad or an email from a reader and knowing that i have touched their hearts and that by writing a story that they can relate to, that i have given them a voice. That is what inspires me to continue doing my work.

I dance, i listen music and i go for a walk. Music, dancing and long walks open's up and stretches my imagination. I am transportal to another world and every thought, plot, dialogue and storyline falls into place.

The obscurity of my profession especially in the society i currently live in means that there is no glamour or "hype" attached to my career. I still reside in the town i grew in and therefore i garner most of my storylines from my everyday experiences, memories and other people's life stories around me. I might experience a situation on the bus on my way to kingston and i think that would enhance the morale of one of my novels and i will transfer that experience to my character. The taxi driver who was rude to me or the boyfriend who i cannot seem to pencil down his personality might become a muse for the male character in my next novel. I am a novelist, I write about life with a sprinkling of idealism. All i know about is life...
