Jeremy McLean That's a great question! It's currently exclusive to Amazon. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094QU1U0 On that page is the kindle version and it has a link for purchasing the physical copy. Alternatively, you can search amazon for the ISBN: 978-0987809537.

I hope you enjoy it!
Jeremy McLean I try to keep with a daily, weekly, and monthly word count, and stick with them. If I don't make the daily goal, I try to make up for it with the weekly, and so on. Just keep writing and if a particular part isn't up to snuff, come back to it later and you'll probably have a solution.

If I'm stuck at a particular moment in the story where I don't know what to do with the characters, I ponder on it and it alone. This can take practice to focus on something, but just sitting down and thinking over a problem in your head, thinking "what would my characters do here?" helps.

I also have friends who are good at bouncing ideas off of, and I'm not at all ashamed to admit that several ideas were collaborative, and I wouldn't have been able to come up with them on my own.

If you have writers block, talk with other creative people, and they may be able to help you out of it, remember your fans are waiting to be inspired by you, and stick to your goals no matter what. Just write, get past the bad stuff, and come back and fix it later.
Jeremy McLean Hearing feedback from fans. Knowing that your story has touched someone makes it all worthwhile. I always appreciate reviews and constructive criticism.
Jeremy McLean Keep a daily, weekly, and monthly word count goal, and stick to it as best as possible. Or, make a time goal, where you set aside a number of hours each day devoted only to writing.

I'm still trying to do this myself, and I know firsthand how this can be difficult, but you will be all the better for it. The first hurdle is actually getting it on paper, so setting small to larger goals is the best way I find to go about it.
Jeremy McLean I am currently working on Book 2 of the Voyages of Queen Anne's Revenge, which continues the story from the first novel.
Jeremy McLean I'm inspired to write daily by the desire to have my story told, and in a greater way by my fans. They keep me motivated to give them a good story that hopefully will inspire them in one way or another.

I was inspired to start writing overall by two authors: D.J. MacHale, author of the Pendragon Series, and Eiichiro Oda, author of the manga One Piece.

Both of these series create such vivid worlds you want to visit yourself that are full of endless possibilities, colourful characters, and meaningful twists. My hope is that I can create worlds that do the same for other aspiring authors.

On another note, One Piece is about pirates, and it gave me a new appreciation for pirates in general. I have a few small references to One Piece in my novel, ones which only fans of the manga would be able to catch.
Jeremy McLean I was playing a video game about pirates, and they mentioned that they were looking for a "treasure ship," which, in the context of the game, meant they were looking for a ship full of treasure. However, it made me think of the ship actually being the treasure, and how it would be interesting if there was a story where they followed clues to find a ship.

The idea developed from there into what it is today. The plot being that there are certain parts of the ship locked, and the characters have to follow clues and solve puzzles in order to find the keys to unlock them.

I also love pirates, and Blackbeard is my favourite, so I wanted to create a sort of origin story for him in a fictional setting. This series is meant to show how he goes from being a normal person to the scourge of the seas we know him as today.
