I don't really consider writing as a single endeavor so I don't know that I've ever experienced writer's block. What I mean is this: Writing is more than just sitting down at my desk and pounding out words. It's researching, contemplating, sketching, and outlining ideas. Writing is an ecosystem. If I sit down and don't know what I want to say, that's not writer's block...it's a lack of research, or a lack of clarity. That means I'm not ready to put words to the page, and so I go back into the writing ecosystem and begin mining for the idea I want to write about, or the research I need to understand the problem.
