Writing is one of the few activities where I feel like I get into a "flow" state. It is completely immersive, and feels wonderful. This feeling makes it worth it even when I feel like probably no one is reading my work.

I am have been fortunate to not have had to deal with writer's block (yet). I am a great believer in writing something everyday (or almost every day anyway) even if it doesn't make sense or seem to add anything to the project.

Although both of my books are non-fiction and focused on my area of expertise, which is adoption, I am currently working on a novel. I'll probably include an adoption sub-plot, but adoption is not the main focus of the book.
