Ginny Stone A clanking sound woke her up; heart thudding she glanced at the alarm panel - the blinking lights stared calmly into the heavy darkness. The door creaked, there was a scuffling on the carpet and a heavy presence leapt onto her body... "Jeez Ralph, you nearly scared the knickers off me!" she screeched at her cat. (True story!!!)
Ginny Stone I go and grovel in the garden a bit. Or I get stuck into doing something creative like mosaic or fabric painting or up-cycling stuff. Of course sometimes, if it's a blog that has to be written for my weekly column - you just suck it up and put on your big girl panties! There's no time for blocks.
Ginny Stone The total satisfaction you get when you hear somebody laughing when they are reading your stuff. In the case of my kid's books - getting serious subjects across in a lighthearted manner so that they actually learn something important.

I am always coming across people who say "You're so lucky to have books published" - but it was not luck - it was the right thing, at the right time and I just did it.
