Renée Ebert Try not to think of editing while in the process of writing. That way you can keep the flow of your narrative, of the characters as they move about on the page, and most of all as you imagine what will happen next.
Renée Ebert My new novel "Dead Eyes in Late Summer" is a novel about three people, Adelyn Crawford a young "southern belle" of the 1920s and 1930s, her first lover, Innis Crawford and his brother Garnett, whom she marries. The triangle spans some of the most exciting times of the 20th Century.
Renée Ebert Writing takes you everywhere and right now. I am currently traveling to 1920s Paris with the very handsome Howard Hughes. My novel's heroine is Adelyn Crawford and she is a quintessential "Flapper."
Renée Ebert Many years ago living in Alexandria, VA, my husband and I were leaving the parking lot for the movie theater when a pretty and slim youngish woman approached us. True story: she offered to do "anything" for us, and left her remarks open. We thanked her, and left and both of us felt she needed money for drugs. Although Molly in the novel never got to that place, her journey began when I thought of that woman we met.
