In my latest book "Code 211" its all about an attempted bank robbery where the would be robber leaves his get-away car in a driveway. This actually happened to me. My husband was working in North Dakota and I was alone and very scared. Seems everyday life is filled with mysteries.

This is a tough one. Sometimes I just have to make myself sit down and write. I do find inspiration from weird places though. All of the sudden I'll be driving past an old abandoned shack and I picture a scene from a story that needs to be written.

I go away from it for awhile. I do anything else, but write. I walk, I play with my grandbabies, I drive around. I let it simmer as I like to say.

I know this sounds pretty shallow and trite, but I love Scarlett and Rhett. This was the first adult book I read and they burned their characters into my heart.

Having my imagination come to life on pages that real people actually read! What a thrill.

Everything! I hear a headline and want to write a story about it. I see a canyon, or lake, or abandoned cabin and think it would make a great setting for a story. Life, yes I guess that would be the answer. Life.

I'm working on a connected book to Cold Gray Dawn. This is called "The Dawn of My Breaking Heart." It has some overlap from the first, but is not a sequel per se. AND I'm so excited to start writing the third book. No title yet, but at least I have a great idea!

Write.... I know that sounds weird, but if you don't start you'll never know. Write everyday. Even if you think it's bad, write. (Some will be bad) but you will never get any better if you wait to be perfect. It's like exercise, you never get any stronger just thinking about moving, you actually have to get up and move! WRITE!

This story has been in my head for years. Once I started writing it, I couldn't stop! It literally just flowed out. I was excited every morning to wake up and see what would happen next.
