Well the rubber chicken story is not based on an actual event, (though it would have been hilarious in real life!) One thing that is drawn from semi-autobiography is winning a scholarship to an elite university and then feeling like a fish out of water around rich kids. Also Scrooje's efforts to win Belle back mirror some of the surprise expressions of love I've shown my wife, including putting on a shirt like Prince and surprising her by by singing Adore on stage Off-Broadway after one of the performances of our show Platanos Y Collard Greens. And yes her eyes were filled with happy tears :)
