M.L. Newman I wanted to write a story that was unlike anything I had read before. I flipped ideas and concepts that I had heard of prior to put extra pressure on myself but also on the characters to see how they would deal with the new situation. Fade Away has surprises that I hadn't planned, which only made it that much more unique for readers.
M.L. Newman Writer's block seems to stem from expectation versus reality for the most part in my case. When I find myself blocked, I leave it alone for a day or two. It could be that I'm over thinking something very simple and I need to step back to realize it. Physical activity like playing tennis, bowling, and Zumba cardio help to relieve the tension so that I can think clearly.
M.L. Newman There are too many awesome things about being a writer to pin point one as the best. One of the aspects that I love about being a writer would have to be the acceptance of daydreaming. I can let all the stories to take over my mind, take me to places that I had never thought to go before and not have to hold back. The limitlessness gives me the chance to tap into the unknown and bring out unique aspects to readers.
M.L. Newman I'm currently working on Winds of Change and Hope Has A Glare. Both will be coming out before the end of 2014.
