What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Arthur M. Doweyko I like whoppers when it comes to mysteries. Why is that Man constantly ponders the reason for his existence? I ask this because it is likely the strongest reason for our gravitation to a variety of belief systems, including ironically, atheism. So, the plot ... someone discovers the gene responsible for that drive, and figures a way to block it. What happens if it's gone? Do we become nastier or nicer?

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Arthur M. Doweyko Most recently completed, The Guardian Alien Conspiracy (aka Angela's Apple). Applegate Bogdanski is a morphine-addicted Vietnam War vet missing a leg and cursed with guilt. When his guardian angel falls in love with him and the two discover a conspiracy, it's time to step up. Neither one is an angel.

How do you get inspired to write?

Arthur M. Doweyko Mostly it's a mystery. The strongest motivations seem to spring from a desire to figure out what's behind the curtain between us and what's really going on.

What are you currently working on?

Arthur M. Doweyko Henry the Last - Henry is the last being on Earth with a human brain. The world is post-apocalyptic, and Systems, a robotic caretaker organization, wants to replace Henry's biological brain with a fully artificial one they guarantee will be still be him when finished.
