There's no such thing as an aspiring writer - you either write or you don't. Aspire to be a better writer, or a published writer, or a prolific writer, or a writer of any sort but so long as you put down words then you are a writer. And my advice to all writers is to keep on doing that. Keep writing and finish things. The finishing is just as important as the writing.

I never have just one thing I'm working on. Right now I have four picture books at various stages of development. Some of those won't make it to final, printed versions but they are all really important to me because each of them helps in my development as a writer.
I also have a novel for children at the third draft stage. This one is about a robot pirate who was built in order to steal treasure for his captain. The trouble is, this robot pirate isn't so keen on the idea.
