Joshua Steelman The best thing about it is just being able to free yourself emotionally and spiritually without any fear of judgment or condemnation. On those pages, you can just go nuts and do whatever you want to do; explore anything you want to explore; be whoever you want to be.

Writing is the ultimate freedom. It opens your eyes and allows you to see past the constraints of reality.
Joshua Steelman This is an interesting question because I'm not sure I get writer's block, as crazy as that sounds. When I sit down to write, the ideas really flow; everything just comes to me. I hope I don't sound like I'm boasting, because I'm not. Every writer has different strengths and weaknesses.

I think what helps me fend off writer's block is that I don't self-edit when I write: I let EVERYTHING spill onto the page (before I whittle it down into a tight, concise bundle); I don't plot; I write organically by not trying to steer characters where I wish them to go.
