By recent, you mean my novel 'Dreamers'? Well, believe it or not I met up with the chief protagonist Wilson Cole in Stockholm when we were both dreaming. That was in '78, and the idea to write a book about him was born at the same time.

If I get a really good story idea I tell myself that if I die before I get it out, it'll be lost forever.I also brag to everyone that I'm writing a novel, because then I'm obliged to see it through if I want to save face. The bottom line is, I have to big myself up to the task. It requires lots of bigging, because writing is a helluva task.
