Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Vanessa Simkins Most of the recipes and ideas in my book come from being in the kitchen and experimenting. I also pull from experiences in my past - I think about fun vacations where we had a tropical juice or my travels to Brasil to see my family and the types of drinks we had there.

How do you get inspired to write?
Vanessa Simkins I love nature and getting out of my daily routine. New ideas and inspiration come to me when I'm somewhere new.
