Melissa G. Wilson I go to quotes on the subject I working on that include quotes from books on goodreads. These are presented in descending order from the most read to the least. This really helps me see what is in vogue and gives me ideas to riff off of in my own books.

Melissa G. Wilson You get to write the book you want to read. Of course you have got to write great books but write first for yourself. It's very healing.
Melissa G. Wilson I'm a book writing coach and as such, I have learned to get one for myself. I always have support. You need a constant second pair of eyes on your content. Otherwise you end up working in a vacuum.
Melissa G. Wilson I'm currently working on a novel (I've been working on this for about two years) called "The Billion Dollar Challenge." I have a non-fiction agent I have used for my non-fiction, business books but now I'm ready to go further.

This books is suspense-romance novel that focuses on the unique offer to new adult, Sophia Avanti, to accept a multi-million dollar sum that involves her competing with nine others to grow successful businesses that focus on "the greater good." The winner will receive the incredible sum of one billion dollars to further build his or her growing business.

The contest is mysteriously sponsored by a group of billionaires focused on socially responsible business creation. But is the contest real? Should she jump in without looking back? And what about the other contestants? When she meets them she immediately connects to a cool young woman--a leader in the environmental space. Then there are two very handsome men--one whom she is immediately attracted to, the other she is equally repulsed by and she feels torn as to how to interact with either.

With twists and turns that will leave you wondering how this will all end, this book answers the question, "What would you do if you had millions to spend to create a business for the great good that also had to make become very profitable?" Set in the vibrant entrepreneurial town of Chicago, this book will take you inside a more developed "Shark Tank" where business intertwines with romance and suspense for a one-of-a-kind cool read.
Melissa G. Wilson When I was ten my father bought me a beautiful writers desk as I had turned my love for reading to also add a love for writing. Once I had my writers desk which was placed into my bedroom, I had to write.

I also read Maud Hart Lovelace's book series, "The Betsy Tacy Series," and, with Betsy being a writer, I was determined to follow in her footsteps in my own life.
Melissa G. Wilson I love juxtaposing one idea again another. It's called sometimes, cross-paradigmatic thinking (easy for me to say!)

Then, one day, I bumped up that challenge to juxtaposing one person against another. I kept doing this and started thinking, "Hey, this might be a good idea for a book or even book series."

From here, my Masters Mashups series was born.
