Lorraine Rayment I have completed the latest novel in the 'Dogpark' series. Now the work begins! Fine-tuning, editing, cover design.....
Lorraine Rayment Not to worry about all the vocabulary, and punctuation. Just write. Let it flow. When it's finished you can go back and fine tune!
Lorraine Rayment The best thing about being a writer is being able to create a story. You have control of the storyline, the characters you have created, and finally the ending. You have an intimate relationship with your characters and what happens to them.
Lorraine Rayment Have been fortunate so far and haven't experienced it. When I am trying to work out a storyline I run. I am a runner and it always allows my creative juices to flow.
Lorraine Rayment I always enjoyed writing, and had taken several creative writing classes.

Lorraine Rayment My recent book 'Brillo' is actually a sequel of my first novel, 'Dogpark'.
My idea for that book came from a visit in 2002 to a dog park in northern Virginia while visiting my daughter. It was a unique experience as dog parks did not exist in the area I resided. As I watched the dogs and their owners interact, I thought it would be the great genesis for a novel. I retained the idea, and when I retired in 2010, I wrote the book.
