How do you get inspired to write?
Constance Hood I often wake up in the night with the stories shifting through my head, get up, and write things down. If you are a dreamer, keep a notebook and a pencil beside your bed. An electronic tablet doesn't do the job - for some reason the visual stimulation of the tablet distracts you from your thoughts.

What are you currently working on?
Constance Hood Silent War is another historical novel based on true stories. The inspiration came from a sheaf of notes that my father left at the end of his life. He was a spy in WWII, and adhered to lifelong restrictions to not disclose details of intelligence operations. His story is intertwined with that of his surviving sister as the two of them shift identities and conceal their experiences and thoughts in order to ensure survival.
