I look for images that evoke thoughts and feelings in me. I also love to listen to music while I write.

My advice is to write what you want to read and about what interests you. Try to write daily and read classic books. It is important to read books from well known authors. Study their styles and take note of how you feel about their work then apply it to your own writing.
