Erin Moss This is SUCH a great question!!! I need to think about it. I'll get back to you!
Erin Moss I used to love horror movies when I was a teenager. Mostly as an excuse to snuggle with a boy! Two sentence horror story...I did think of one the other day oddly enough and now can't remember it...Let me see how I do on the fly...I snuck over the fence for a late night swim. I backed into the wall of the pool to stare at the stars. When something slithered out of the drain from behind me and over my shoulder.
Erin Moss I love this question. I have no idea! I think I would be happy in a fictional book world that is set in New York or the South of France! What would I do there? EAT, explore, rest, relax, write...enjoy life!
Erin Moss I want to read Liane Moriarty's, The Last Anniversary. My mom is reading Where The Crawdad's Sing and she likes it and I have heard it is good, so that is on the list.
Erin Moss So...I am a hopeless romantic and I love those totally corny Hallmark movies. I have watched a ton of them and I sometimes get ideas from watching the movies. So...I watched one and I thought what if this happened and that happened and they changed this and that and came up with a TOTALLY different story. I got the idea from watching one of those movies.
Erin Moss When I was a senior in high school, we were allowed to free write for 15-20 minutes a day in English class. I think they call it Language Arts today. I loved writing stories and I loved reading them out loud and seeing people's reactions. That is where it all started.
Erin Moss I'm currently working on a couple ideas for my Peri the Pelican children's book series. I have a felt Peri that I want people to travel with and take pictures with on vacations and send back for the Peri the Pelican website. I'm working on a play. I have a few adult novel ideas that I am working on as well.
Erin Moss My advice for aspiring writers is to write! If that is what you love...DO IT!!! Don't give up, because of rejection. I have never EVER heard from even the most famous writers in the world that they didn't experience rejection. They will tell you that they could wallpaper entire rooms and houses with all of their rejection letters! It seems hard and at times impossible, but do not give up!!! Plus, with self-publishing...you can always get published!!! Keep writing!
Erin Moss I think the best thing about writing is being able to go anywhere in the world and do anything you want to do. For example, when it is a cold and dreary winter, I can escape to the beach and the sun with my characters. I love the escapism in writing. In high school, I was on the chubby side and felt like guys didn't like me because of it, but I always wanted romance, so I wrote about romance because in real life I didn't have it, but when I wrote..I could!
Erin Moss I deal with writer's block, by letting myself have it!!! I know there are authors that believe you have to write everyday and I am not one of them! I rather write when the spirit moves me and I am in the creative mind frame. To me, it is a waste to write just to write. But if I NEED to write and I am stuck...I can take walks, take a drive or change the scenery and go somewhere alone to think and that seems to help me. I used to get inspired when I traveled, but that is not always feasible.
