I first wrote this story as a script in 2007. I was a scriptwriter and film-maker who was always encouraged but never paid so eventually this dream had to go! From 2016 onwards I have been re-writing the story (and others) as a novel and I'm now very happy with this medium. The original story came from a time when I had moved to a new town (Brighton) and was newly married and all the usual avenues for making friends were not available (work, school gates, hobbies etc) I found myself with a 'female shaped hole in my life' and one day the character of Jenny just appeared to me. She was so miserable I wasn't that impressed at first lol, it was only when I met lovely husband Lonny that I knew I had something. Writing a novel instead of a script allows you to really get inside the head of the characters and now that I have done that I love Jenny a lot more. This will be the first book in a series which will follow the family through the next decade of climate change. Thanks for reading and following! x
