Sorry you were expecting a Portuguese edition, but I do appreciate you passing it on to your sister-in-law.
Unfortunately, Beneath Madrid is only currently available in English. There's a very high chance it will be translated to Spanish shortly. No plans on translating it to Portuguese. Translation to additional languages will probably depend on how well the Spanish edition does.
And by the way, yes, I visited the Lisbon area back in 2005 and loved it!

Outlining all my scenes prior to writing a rough draft solved most of my issues with writer's block. Now, before sitting down to write, I have a rough idea of what I need to achieve with each scene so that no matter how uninspired I am, I can at least count on getting from point A to point B. No matter how awful it turns out, I know I can polish it during the editing stage.
Another nice trick is to write the first couple sentences of tomorrow's scene before completing today's session. That way, when I sit down tomorrow, the motor's already warm.
