Sherri Stewart Hi Yomna,
I really miss you and your sister and French. There's a saying: Write what you know. I know romance and suspense, and that is what my publisher pays me to write. Why don't you think about writing a YA fantasy? There's a huge market for it. If you set a goal of writing--like 500 words/day, you'll be amazed. The idea is to get it down and don't worry about rewriting. There will be time for that later. I'd be happy to help you.
Sherri Stewart Brutus always barked when she unlocked the door, but this time the house was eerily silent. From room to room she ran, calling his name, until she reached the bathroom and read the message on the mirror: "Check your car trunk."
Sherri Stewart There's nothing I like better than to travel to places I'm writing about, but that's not always possible when the cost is prohibitive. I'm reading through the Seven Sisters series. The book I'm reading now takes place around Greece on sailboats. I would follow the course as it unfolds in the book, stay at the same bed and breakfast, eat at the same restaurant, etc.
Sherri Stewart I'm in the editing process for The Good Little Nurse, a novella that will be part of a Michigan collection. This book is close to my heart because many of the situations come from my mother's stories of when she was in nurse's training. I'm also working on a book called Harpers Hollow at this point. It's about a big-city girl who has to move back to her hometown to settle her father's estate, but danger follows her.
