I believe I'd go to Terry Pratchett's Discworld, just so I could walk to the edge and peer over the side. I might even get a glimpse of the elephants or the turtle.

"You have insurance, right?"
"Those books were out of print. They're irreplaceable," she said, sobbing into her handkerchief.

I'm looking forward to G-MAN by Stephen Hunter and BEAUTY LIKE THE NIGHT by Joanna Bourne. On the other hand, I have so many books on my TBR shelves and my Kindle that I'm not worried about running out of summer reading.

Why so many of the men in my life suffer from "Male Refrigerator Blindness". It is a mystery to me. I can envision a murder mystery that hinges on the jar of relish being _in plain sight_ in the fridge, but only the female detective can see it.

I'd go with Cordelia Naismith and Aral Vorkosigan of Lois McMaster Bujold's science fiction novels. They were introduced in SHARDS OF HONOR and their thoughtful, mature relationship was a nice change of pace. Once could see how those two could make a lifetime of love work.

Hello, Christine--
Getting my books to Audible is on my "to do" list. I've been busy this summer preparing three of my earlier novels (THE BRIDE AND THE BUCCANEER, CAPTAIN SINISTER'S LADY and SMUGGLER'S BRIDE) for re-release, finishing summer travels, and researching book nine. Whew! But I know readers want audio versions of my novels, so that's in the works for 2017. Thanks for your interest!

If I waited until the muse spoke to me, I'd never get anything written. She's a contrary paint in the butt.
Having said that though, I find a daily two mile walk without any distractions like headphones helps me work through plot points, and it's good for me, body and soul.

When I was writing Castaway Dreams, I became intrigued by the villain, pirate Robert St. Armand. I decided to give him his own book, and to see if he was ready to be the hero, I metaphorically threw a baby at him. He caught it, and that's how the Pirate's Secret Baby came to be written.

I'm working on the follow-up to The Pirate's Secret Baby, because it's natural to wonder "What happens to a secret baby when it grows up?" I know I wondered!

Don't wait until you have time to write. There's always something else that will interfere--you have to carve out your writing time and make it yours.
