Inspiration is everywhere! But I mostly get inspired by my settings (I travel a lot) and by things that stir my senses, like the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, a particular scent, music, a warm breeze or a chill in the air... People also inspire me--I love heroics!

I am currently working on updating my entire 30-catalog backlist for re-release. I want everything to have a fresh, current spin on it, so this is taking a bit of time. However, I'm starting the rollout this year (March, actually!) with my Rugged & Risqué series, set in Wilder, Texas.

I'm not a sci-fi fan per se, but I love Princess Leia and Han Solo. First, he is the ultimate sexy, reluctant, bad-boy hero...right?! Then there's the sexual tension and the witty banter and the lingering gazes... *sigh* But at the end of the day, it's when he's being lowered into the carbonite and he tells him she loves him and he sweetly, though cockily, says, "I know." Oh! Tingles every time!!!

I have been very fortunate to not have this issue, once I learned to "turn down the noise." Sometimes it's the doubt in your head; sometimes it's a reviewer who didn't get you; sometimes it's your own mother with a typo in her text that makes you think she hated a scene you wrote! Just keeping writing. If that's your passion...just keep writing!!!

It's a great way to get these voices out of my head! Seriously...I love every aspect, even when things aren't going my way. It's a great creative outlet, a wonderful career, an amazing way to connect with other people who love books--and that's just a start!
