Honestly, having a published book hasn't changed a thing. I was a writer before and I still write now. Write because you love to write and have a story to tell. That makes you a writer in my book.

Write, write, write. There is no substitute for practice. Don't try to sound like anyone else but you. Write with your voice. Oh, and if you want to write a novel, have the ending in mind. If your ending is "nowhere", that is probably where your story will go.
