I've never read the sequel to my favorite book, Watership Down, though it's been on my shelf for years. That's top of the list, as well as my weekly dose of comic books and graphic novels. I read as much non-fiction as fiction, so I'll probably find some fun books on science and nature.

For Cold World, I was inspired by a multitude of sources, but I remember the moment I got the seed for the book, a future Earth that only experienced winter: I was reading Stephen Hawking's Brief Answers to the Big Questions. He throws so many concepts at you at a staggering rate. The world of the story started to build itself using real and potential science. I remember texting my friend the original pitch that same day.
