Dennis Vogen I've never read the sequel to my favorite book, Watership Down, though it's been on my shelf for years. That's top of the list, as well as my weekly dose of comic books and graphic novels. I read as much non-fiction as fiction, so I'll probably find some fun books on science and nature.
Dennis Vogen The Marvel or DC multiverse, for sure. Anything can happen there.
Dennis Vogen His hands were slick with sweat, tightly gripped around the leather steering wheel as he watched it grow closer and closer. He had never driven through a roundabout before.
Dennis Vogen I don't often have it. But the usual tricks work: think about something else, do something else. Our subconscious is a powerful thing. Sometimes it just needs time to work, and sometimes that happens while we play.

Dennis Vogen Write. It sounds so stupid to say. But write. I talk to so many people about writing a book, and nearly every person I speak to has not started writing yet. You have to write to have written a book. Like I always tell people: my worst book is better than your best idea, because my worst book exists.
Dennis Vogen My first all-ages graphic novel Brushfire is being readied for release on July 4th, 2022.
Dennis Vogen I get inspired by so many things. I'm more inspired by life than not. I get motivated to create, however, by consuming art that I wish I had made.
Dennis Vogen For Cold World, I was inspired by a multitude of sources, but I remember the moment I got the seed for the book, a future Earth that only experienced winter: I was reading Stephen Hawking's Brief Answers to the Big Questions. He throws so many concepts at you at a staggering rate. The world of the story started to build itself using real and potential science. I remember texting my friend the original pitch that same day.
