Isabel Pietri For me writer's block is coming to a dead end. I have no where to go. On the occasions that this has occured I just step away from the computer and go about my daily or nightly routine. I clear my mind of the project completely. Eventually, I start day dreaming again and ideas begin to flow. I continue entertaining and feeding these day dreams until I am satisfied of where the story is going. Then and only then do I sit down at the computer and start writing again. This process may take a few hours or a few days.

Isabel Pietri The best thing about being a writer is the creative process. Creating characters that come alive. Developing characters that elicit emotions in the reader whether they are lovable or detestable. Creating scenes that a reader can mentally visualize and/or feel. If it is a romantic scene, I want the reader to feel the sensations. If writing a fight or flight scene, I want the reader to feel their heart pumping hard. As in real life, in moments of levity the reader should experience a hearty laugh. If I bring a smile or tears to my reader, I feel I have done my job.
Isabel Pietri My advice is write. Write for the love of writing. Your heart and soul are screaming to tell a story, so tell it. Don't let circumstances, people or your own self doubt stand in between you and your creation.

I have been writing creatively since childhood, but never finished a project. I have found personal satisfaction and success in the knowledge that I have published my first novel and finished the second.
Isabel Pietri I am currently working on "The Black Calla Lily," which is the second book in Millie and Adrian's trilogy. All questions from the first book are resolved in what I hope readers will find to be a fast-paced action-thriller. I have included a bonus surprise for readers.
Isabel Pietri I draw inspiration from just about every life event that I experience, whether in the news, through friends and relations or personal. Dramas are stories waiting to be embellished and told.

I also day dream constantly.
Isabel Pietri The idea for "LOVE in the DARK" came to me early one morning while still in bed. I had started to write a totally different story when Millie and Adrian came to me. The plot for the story played in my head like an endless loop. I kept daydreaming about them and their drama until I sat down at the laptop and started writing. For the most part the plot and the characters took on a life of their own dictating what would come next.
