I deal with writers block by writing one creative sentence. It may or may not be about what I'm currently writing. It could be a new idea a new character or just an observation. Anything to help stimulate some creative thinking. Sometimes, it even broadens my current plot and takes my character down a totally different path than the one originally intended.
