I never have a reading list. I grab whatever gets my attention.

I'd go into the Game of Thrones world, hide out and watch until only one or two are left, and then come out to win.

I'm adopted and my natural mother has never told me anything about my father. I've thought about searching, but at my age it could be difficult to find any clues. That would make an interesting plot.

Forgive me, horror is the one genre I have trouble with. Here's a shot, anyway.

Lots of projects. Two are finished. One is the first in a series about two global conspiracies opposing each other, framed around a third group caught between them. The only time you should have writer's block is when you're developing the plot because you're still coming up with ideas. Read everything you've got and decide what the best route to the ending. If it happens later, a plot modification is called for.

Don't stop. Don't wait. But don't rush, either. "Pantzing" never works; a good story has a strong, well-developed plot. Plot is what defines the story. Characters push the story forward and can never be flat. And if you don't know your setting, you'll get called out on it. But more than anything, know your ending before you do anything else because that's what keeps your story on track.
