Good drama, movies, theater, books, vacation spots, museums... All sorts of experiences inspire me. I often feel like I'm viewing things through the eyes of current or potential characters. This usually sparks some kind of internal dialogue for me and once I've had a great conversation in my head, I can't wait to write it down.

It's a follow-up to my first book. When Once in Love with Lily was finished, I couldn't say goodbye to the characters. I never really considered not writing a sequel. I just knew there was more to Lily and Tony's story. And we haven't see the last of Charles either! There is a ton of drama left for this trio.

Do it. Practice. Write. Re-write. Edit. Re-write again. Find professionals to help you with design and editing. Know that it's more work than you ever imagined, but holding the finished product in your hand is more rewarding that you could have ever imagined.

I used to think I was crazy inventing strange stories and talking to myself. Now, well, I'm still crazy, but I have and excuse and a place for the stories to go.

Ice cream! That's the answer to every problem! No, seriously... I usually try to work on a different project for a while just to keep my brain from shutting down. Sometimes I'll write a blog post. Sometimes I write a new chapter of fanfic just for practice. Sometimes a good romantic movie or soap episode will get the creative juices flowing again.

I'm currently working on the sequel to Once in Love with Lily. I just felt there was too much left to tell for it to end where it did. I don't want to give too much away, but I can say that happily ever after would be far too simple. There are still many twists, turns, and secrets to be revealed.
