What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Leigh Fleming Oh, this is a great question! Sadly, my life has been rather un-mysterious. I discovered something in my family's past, though, and turned it into my book, THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER. I think that having a mystery in your own life could be rather stressful and worrisome. I'm glad I'm not mysterious.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Leigh Fleming Some waterfront town with an inn where I could sit on the big front porch sipping sweet tea. Many of the books I read have tragic situations, so I'd rather avoid them and go for a sweet romance type of world.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Leigh Fleming My book club is going to read The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah which I am very excited about. I also plan to read The Last Bookshop in London by Madeline Martin. The Woman in the Window and The Guest List are also on my list.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Leigh Fleming Annie was one of Emberly's friends in Precious Words. It just seemed natural to write books featuring her two best friends. Kate's book, Whatever You Say, will be out in 2017. The Maryland Eastern Shore setting for Whatever You Call Me (Annie's book) was based on my hometown of North East, Maryland.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Leigh Fleming I'm not sure I've ever had true writer's block. When the creative juices dry I am move on to other tasks around my house like laundry or checking emails. Most of the time when I sit down to write, I have no problem keeping the story going.

What are you currently working on?
Leigh Fleming I'm working on what will be the fifth book in the "best friends" series. Emberly and Nico started it all in Precious Words. The second in the series, Whatever You Call Me, features Emberly's friend Annie and her knew love, Kip. Whatever You Say, the third book in the series, stars Kate (Emberly's other friend) and Brody, a country song writer. The fourth book is completed in draft form and I'm currently writing the fifth.
