I enjoy writing so it allows me to do something that I love to do. Aside from that, it is a great feeling to create something. To write a book you have to pour your heart and soul into it and it takes hours and hours. After all that hard work, it is a very rewarding feeling to hold your book in your hand for the first time. It is also a great platform to be able to influence people. You have the floor to speak and everyone that is reading is listening to you.

It started as a joke on an internet forum but since Poopen Young has taken on a life of his own. Poopen is a household name at our house and it is my dream that he becomes a household name in yours.

Set some time aside and just do it. A book is not written in a day, a week, or in some cases a year. It will take paitience. A book is nothing more than little small steps added together over time. Your first book will not be your best. As you write you learn and you improve. Keep practicing and you will get better.

It's honestly not something I experience a whole lot. When it happens I either walk away from it for a little bit or I just start writing something. Once I get to writing, things will start flowing. The main thing is to just write.

I am currently in the review process for my new book, The Amazing Adventures of Poopen Young. Ten years ago or so, while bored at work, I came up with the fictional redneck character named Poopen Young. I wrote over a dozen short humorous stories about him and my wife and kids loved them. Through the years, they encouraged me to turn the stories into a published book but the stories just sat in the filing cabinet collecting dust. Recently, I felt the time was right to finish the book. So here I am, after all these years, just a few months away from publishing the book. To say I am excited is definitely an understatement.
