Anne Hope For me, writer's block means I took a wrong turn somewhere. It's my muse putting her foot down and saying, "Where the heck are you going with this story?" When this happens, I go back to the drawing board, look at my plot structure and edit until I'm back on track. Sometimes, I'm forced to delete entire chapters, a process that's never fun. But after that, the words usually start to flow again.
Anne Hope What I love most about writing is that I get to tell myself stories each and every day. Every morning when I sit at my keyboard, I know a great adventure awaits me. I may get swept away in a whirlwind romance or fight a deadly foe or visit a faraway place. It's all very exciting!
Anne Hope Keep learning and perfecting your craft. Stay focused and write what you love. Don't let trends influence you too much. They change like the wind! Above all, be patient.
Anne Hope Currently, I'm working on the second book in my techno thriller series and the final book in my Dark Souls series.
Anne Hope Many things can trigger an idea for a novel--a dream, a newspaper article, an event I witness or hear about. Stories are all around us. If you have an overactive imagination like me, inspiration can be found just about anywhere.
Anne Hope My most recent book is a techno thriller. Technology has become such an integral part of our lives. It makes many tasks easier, but it also limits our freedom. I often find myself wondering what impact technological advancement will have on the future. Will our every move be monitored? Will nanotechnology extend our life span or will it be used to control us? These questions are what inspired my latest series.
