Anna Kringle I'm catching up on The Star Nomad series, by Lindsay Buroker. And... I just got a book called The Drunken Botanist, which is all about plants used to make beverages, which I'm excited about. Other then that, Just whatever else strikes my fancy!
Anna Kringle Well... I suppose there's the mystery of Great-Great-Great-Great Grandma's favorite indentured servant...
Way back in the provincial day, my grandmothers Dutch ancestors were in the business of running Russian slaves from Russia to Europe (yay for family skeletons, right?) They had settled in Russia, and had a few slaves of their own, and apparently Grandma had a *er, ahem* favorite.
Turns out Catherine the Great wasn't terribly fond of this business venture that indentured her citizens and sent them elsewhere, and she gave the grandparents a swift boot (At the same time as she kicked out the jews and other unpopular demographics). BUT, Grandma took her favorite slave with them when they moved to America.
Generations later, we're a big, boisterous Dutch/Irish American family... That looks remarkably good in fur hats.

;-)
Anna Kringle By everything.. I really don't know a clear way to describe it. Thoughts float through my head and connect, and it all starts off with, "Hmm, If I was here, and this happened, then..." and eventually it turns into another character fighting for their life through a forest and- ooh see, I just inspired myself!
Anna Kringle I'm about to finish up a fantasy novel called "The Return Of Masonry."
It's the story of a little nobody that suddenly realizes she has the opportunity to be a somebody, and how she makes that choice.
I'm really excited to get it out to you all!
Anna Kringle I started Rooftops Of London for National Novel Writing Month in 2012.
I had several projects I was working on, but I wanted a clean start on a new story, to see if I could actually finish a whole novel in one month (also, I'd just discovered Steampunk and wanted to dip my toes into the genre).
I failed, sadly. But the story was a lot of fun, and I still had to prove I could write "The End" on a project. So I stuck with it and released it on New Years day a year later!
Anna Kringle Do it now, or you never will.
Life never gets easier. There is no perfect time. So make it happen!
Anna Kringle Creating new worlds, and living in someone elses brain for a while. I love building up people and places so completely bizarre, and proving that people are still people, no matter where/when/what they're from.
Anna Kringle I pout and yell and throw a temper tantrum! Honestly, it's pretty bad.

I try different things to shake the ideas loose; swimming, purge writing, forcing words out anyways, etc.
Mostly, I've found moving to a new project and letting the creative juices work on something else breaks away the block.
