Writer's Block usually hits me when I'm stressed or overwhelmed with work, and what I call feeling "peopled out". So the best way to overcome it is to shut everything down - social media, t.v., etc., avoid making appointments or agreeing to invitations to meet friends for dinner or drinks. (As much fun as that can be!") I make sure all distractions are out of the way, then throw on my comfy clothes and open my laptop. Alternatively, a trip away to the mountains or a few days on a lake accomplishes the same thing, but unfortunately I'm not afforded the time to holiday very often.

If I could travel to any fictional book world, I think I would choose the world of Outlander, because even though life was harsh for women in those days, I would have Jamie to protect me. Well...as long as Claire was okay with that. So I would befriend Claire right away, of course. :)
