Hi Jasmine :-)
My apologies for not seeing your question until now.
The Biodome Chronicles is now complete. A total of four books: three main books and a novella collection that spans the time gap between book two and three.
Happy reading! :-)

Oooh, great question! Well, the high-tech future thrills me. Not only is it visually stunning to depict in art or in writing, but the characters are as dark and complex as the environment. Cyberpunk is also a perfect genre to explore the ephemeral threads of a human life when compared to the seemingly immortal life of AI and other technology created by human hands.
But, to be even more technical, I actually write Ecopunk fiction, which is a subgenre of Cyberpunk. This niche subgenre focuses more on the surface community life of off-grid living and on man's role within nature vs machine themes, in the familiar dystopian backdrop of a near-future Cyberpunk world.
The Biodome Chronicles is set in reality (vs alternate reality), all hard sciences plausible and based on existing prototype technology. The soft sciences are inline with current studies for Mars colonization, planned for the 2020's and 2030's.
But, really, Ecopunk fiction is a fantastic way for me to continue my love affair with Earth Sciences <3
A long reply, but I hope you find an answer that satisfies your curiosity :)
P.S. And, when I was twelve, I watched Terminator 2 and decided that John Connor was husband material. Like I was soooo going to marry him one day. Not really a reason why I choose to write Cyberpunk, but it’s definitely John Connor’s fault I became interested in the genre to begin with ;-) LOL
