I'm writing a novel, the setting for which takes place in Spain in the 19th century. Writing fiction will be a first for me as my other two books are non-fiction. I outlined and started writing the book awhile ago but needed to do more research so I put it aside until I finished writing the self-help book that I recently completed.

With the goal of ongoing improvement and learning, I've always enjoyed reading self-help books, especially in the areas of happiness and positive psychology. About a year or so ago I started to notice that there were similar recommendations in the field of happiness being proposed by many self-help authors and researchers. I took those research findings that resonated with me and developed my own "formula" for living a meaningful life. The "principles" I came up with summarize essential findings in the fields of happiness that I find to be most relevant and universal for living a happier life. The "GLAD" formula works for me so I wanted to share it with others who are interested in living a more meaningful and happier life. That's how I got the idea for the book and why I wrote GLAD: 7 Principles for a Happier Life. Thanks for your question!
