I remember lying awake in bed one night when I was 11. For years I'd been dreaming up stories that had beginnings, but not middles and endings. Nyra's major story arc came all at once that night. Her character was clear, as was her entire journey (minus a few details). I started taking notes and haven't stopped since. Still hoping it turned out okay!!
