Hi Sterling,
Thanks so much for your question – it’s a tough one. What’s the criteria? I would say that Daybreak is a favorite of mine because in a way it took the most effort to complete. Buried Secrets and Truth or Dead best capture a style I aspire to: noir, fast-moving, with some humor. Dark Web, I think, works best on an emotional level. But Black Soul is a personal favorite because of what happens to the characters... See how hard this is? LOL

Thank you so much for responding. As an author, I know that it is tricky to pick one book as your best work, but I would have to say Xenon Phobia is my best work even though I love all my other books too. I was putting you on the spot a bit because I read your book Gone and it is hands down the best book I have ever read. Now, I'm looking to read another one of your books, and I wanted to know what you considered to be your best book. I guess I'll have to check them all out and see for myself. You are an amazing writer. Thank you again for your response.

Wow. When I saw your comment on Christmas, I was in total shock, and I took me awhile to even figure out what to say. Here it goes: This is the best surprise ever. I am absolutely thrilled, shocked, and excited that you got a copy of Xenon Phobia. Thank you so much. I have to say this is one of the high points in my writing career. I mean you are my favorite author, and now I can say my favorite author is reading one of my books. I really hope you love it, and even if you don't I'd love to hear your feedback.
I am currently reading your book Black Soul and I am 30% done with it. I am hooked on the plot and I will definitely be leaving a great review. I am a slower reader but Black Soul is a page-turner for sure. I should finish it by the end of February.
Again, thank you so much,

Christian! Great to hear from you. Others have read Daybreak as a standalone and enjoyed it. There are brief synopses of the first two books at the start of Daybreak. While I would probably recommend reading all three, I think if you're okay that you may not glean all of the backstory by reading Daybreak straight away, then have at it! Hope you're very well, sir! - TJB

It's a job and therapy at the same time!

I'm too superstitious to address this question. :)

I'm always learning. Somewhere there is a balance between writing what feels good to you and writing for your readers. Perhaps that is something to consider. Oh, and electronic cigarettes. While working you can puff til your heart's content and not upset the wife or the smoke alarm.

Good question...

Richard Wright said, "All literature is protest." Something that fascinates me, something that upsets me, something that gets me excited. And lately, my wife... She's got the best ideas!

The ideas show up. I don't know from where, precisely, but they probably arise from current events, books, people, and good conversation. And dreams.
