Nicole Burnham Hello Huseina! I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed the Royal Scandals series. I do have stories planned for Sophia, Enzo, and Bruno. No official release dates yet, but I will post to my website/social media and send an announcement to my newsletter list when I do. If you aren’t on the newsletter list, do sign up - there is exclusive Royal Scandals content there, as well!

Also, there is a six-book spinoff series called Royal Scandals: San Rimini that you may enjoy in the meantime.

Thanks for asking!

Nicole Burnham *** SPOILER ALERT ***

Hi Eva,
Thanks for finding me on Goodreads to ask. There are hints at this early in the series, then it's explored in depth in the fourth novel in the series, which is called THE ROYAL BASTARD (the title alone should tell you something there!) So the short answer is yes, but it's a rather complex situation, rather than one that's black and white. All the parties involved have made choices that affect others in both good and bad ways.

Glad you asked and hope you're enjoying the series so far.
Nicole Burnham Hi Eva! Thanks for asking about Scandal With a Prince. Ten years would be a long time for two healthy twenty-somethings to abstain. However, this wasn't explicitly stated. Stefano was engaged briefly during the time he and Megan were apart, so you can guess the answer there. While I did mention that Megan dated off and on, there were no serious relationships. Not because she was emotionally stymied or stuck on Stefano, but because she was very busy with her career and raising Anna. I intentionally left any further detail out of the story because I didn't want those interim relationships to have weight in readers' minds that wasn't warranted.

Hope that helps! I'm so glad you enjoyed their story. You'll see more glimpses into their lives in the rest of the series. For instance, in Slow Tango With a Prince, one scene is set at Megan and Stefano's wedding reception. Also, if you aren't on my newsletter list, check it out here:

All subscribers receive a free copy of A Royal Scandals Wedding, which goes behind the scenes at Megan and Stefano's wedding and gives insight into how Anna is handling the big changes in her life.
Nicole Burnham FIrst, the nonfiction: I'm in the midst of a huge stack of books on Peru. I'm planning to travel to Lima/Cusco later this year and want to know all I can so I can appreciate the history and culture when it comes time to explore.

Cal Newport's DEEP WORK is also on my nonfiction to-read list.

On the fiction front, I'm reading Monica McCarty's HIGHLAND GUARD series. I'm also looking forward to Emily March's A STARDANCE SUMMER (her books are autobuys for me) and Christina Dodd's THE WOMAN WHO COULDN'T SCREAM, the next book in her Virtue Falls series.

Finally--though it's most important--I'm reading the next release in my Royal Scandals series and doing edits. ONE MAN'S PRINCESS is coming soon! I should have all the details out to my newsletter subscribers very soon and will also share here on Goodreads.
Nicole Burnham Hi Jessica -

There will be stories for all the siblings. The next in the series will be about Lina Cornaro, the daughter of King Carlo and Teresa Cornaro. As soon as I have a definite release date, I'll send out a notice to my newsletter list. Subscribers to the list also receive a free 60-page short story called A ROYAL SCANDALS WEDDING, which takes place at Prince Stefano and Megan Hallberg's wedding.

Future books will have updates on all the couples you mentioned. Some will feature more prominently than others, but they'll make appearances. I like seeing them as much as readers do.

I'm happy to hear how much you've enjoyed the Royal Scandals series. Thanks so much for your questions!
Nicole Burnham My personal philosophy is that writer's block doesn't exist...not for me, at least. If I am stuck, it's because I'm being lazy. It means I haven't done the hard work of picking apart a scene, a plot twist, or a character's actions to see why they're not working and brainstorm ways to move forward.

That's not to say I don't get stuck at times. It happens more than I'd like to admit. I'm tooling along, writing a scene...and phhhhft. I'm not sure what comes next. Or getting from Point A to Point B suddenly doesn't make sense. However, when it happens, I know the solution is to buckle down and work.

I think of writing a novel like taking a long run. I may hit a stretch where my lungs are burning and what was once enjoyable becomes uncomfortable. I tell myself that I have two choices. I can power through and hope to shake the sensation, which is akin to making myself write until the answer reveals itself--at which point I go back and edit out errors. Or I slow my run to a fast-paced walk until I can muster the energy to go hard again. When I'm writing, that means taking a short (!) break to take a shower or go for a walk to turn over the story problem in my head, then get back to it.

What I don't allow myself to do is quit or use "block" as an excuse to Internet surf or go online shopping. That way there be dragons!
Nicole Burnham I'm currently working on the next Royal Scandals book. This will be about Prince Alessandro, the twin brother of Prince Vittorio (from SLOW TANGO WITH A PRINCE.) Alessandro's lived a life full of adventure (and parties, and women), so I'm excited to tell his story.
Nicole Burnham Hi Ines! YES, there are more books coming in the series. Look for THE ROYAL BASTARD, coming on June 15th. More books are planned after that, so stay tuned. Thanks for asking!
Nicole Burnham Slow Tango With a Prince came from a combination of my fascination with Argentina's tango culture, my love of travel, and watching marathons of House Hunters International. I knew that Prince Vittorio, who is next in line to the throne of Sarcaccia (the setting of my Royal Scandals series), needed to triptake an under-the-radar to a new country to get his head together following the breakup of his relationship with Carmella. I decided to send him to Argentina, then have him meet a woman who challenges his ideas of who he is and what he truly values. By the same token, he challenges her ideas of her own strengths and weaknesses. Being able to set the story of their relationship against Buenos Aires' blend of modernity and sultry nightlife made writing the book a joy.
