How do you deal with writer’s block?
D.B. Gilles Keep writing. Doesn't matter what it is, just write.

It's a long way from Cleveland to Paris... why Paris? As a YA writer I love that you wrote a YA novel! What inspired you?
D.B. Gilles An incredible love of Paris. I go every year and never tire of it. I find it inspirational and it's great for my writing (although I never write when I'm there). But I take a lot of notes. Paris is eternal.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
D.B. Gilles I had a great dog, a pug, named Putney who was the inspiration to write about a dog that could talk, think and process ideas. That, combined with my love and fascination with cooking, made it a true blending.
