Richard Fox That's me. Did we go to middle school together?
Richard Fox Books 3 and 4 will come out at one audiobook in February. That's the current schedule, I think it might come out a bit sooner. Watch this space and thank you for your patience.
Richard Fox The Ember War will continue volume III: The Ibarra Crusade, coming this winter.

Before that will be a pair of Pathfinder novels and The Fall of Earth. Check out the Terra Nova books if you haven't yet, those Ember War books will be relevant to volume III.
Richard Fox I'll have most of a series planned out before I start a book. Sometimes I'll find places to expand or contract along the way.
Richard Fox Next month! Closer to the end of August than earlier.
Richard Fox The audiobook for Earth Defiant is in production, but I don't have the release date yet. Much less calendar space between books 3-4 than there was between 1-2 and 3.
Richard Fox Chris,

Book 7 (The Siege of Earth) will be out in July. There was a horrible CTRL+H error right before book 6 was released leading to that typo. The minion responsible has been sacked and the offending text purged by fire.
Richard Fox Book 3 is in production right now with the same outstanding narrator. I don't have the release date yet, but I'll share it once I do.
Richard Fox There seems to be an error in which file was loaded onto Amazon. I apologize for the fault in the files. Those responsible have been sacked.

The right file is in the system and should take affect in the next couple of hours.
Richard Fox Blood of Heroes will be out December 5th. I'll put the first two chapters on my website by the end of the weekend.
Richard Fox Glad you enjoyed it!

I have at least eight more books planned for The Ember War series. Outlines for the next two books are on my desk and I'll write them back to back after I finish with my current project.

Expect to see book two in the series released in the middle of September.
Richard Fox My German is limited to "Wo ist der rote kampflieger?" which I used when I visited Richthofen's grave in Weissbaden a few years ago.

Research for the book relied heavily on Peter Killduf's scholarship, who does speak German and has produced several excellent works on Richthofen's history.

The book is a work of ficition, but I tried to be true to the established record where possible. The memoir from his mother and translations of his personal letters were a tremendous resource.

I discounted his autobiography for the novel. The autobiography was rewritten several times after his death, and the tone of the autobiography is at odds with most other records of Richthofen's character. Towards the end of his life, Richthofen had a negative opinion of the work and wanted to make some changes.

Take care,
