That's an intriguing question but I don't have any mysteries in my own life. I'm a person who lives a good life; live by my religion; love my family; work hard; have a wonderful imagination to write a good mystery; love to play my guitar and enjoy my soap operas. A good, simple life full of love, laughter and wonderful memories-but no mysteries in my own life.

Okay, I'll make one up right now.
Cindy sat by the window a book on her lap but she was stunned out of her relaxing moment. Everything went dark and there in the parlor stood her dead cousin holding out his arm and calling for help.

Maybe I'd travel to Cabot Cove and meet Jessica Fletcher and discuss writing mystery stories with her and maybe solve one too!!

I'm finishing reading Barbara Bush's Memoir, plus I'm reading a book by Chris Matthews about Nixon and Kennedy. I'd have to double check the name of the book. I'm also reading a book by my friend Will Mayo and another book by my friend Jim LeMay. Jim writes science fiction books. Will wrote a book about his life. I've started reading Dr. Zhivago by Boris Pasternak.

Somehow I'm always inspired. I write everyday and as I said before I never have writer's block. A lot of things inspire me-just reading a book or listening to a CD, or talking with my Mom and sister, or watching TV, memories of loved ones, lots of things give me inspiration.

I would tell aspiring writers to keep writing, and keep submitting. You will get a lot of rejections but don't give up. Just revise, rewrite, submit again and one day you will get that acceptance. And once you get that acceptance, you will get more. The writing business is a tough one but if you really love it, just stick with it.

I am currently working on several different projects. One is the sequel to my mystery book Minister's Shoes. This one is entitled Minister's Wild Caper. I'm also working on the next sequel in my new series "Adventures on Capitol Hill". The first book in this series will be coming out soon. In addition, I'm working on two other mystery novels and one ghost story plus several short stories as well.

I've never had writer's block. I always have new ideas swirling in my head, characters, settings, etc. I have a vivid and active imagination.

The best thing about being a writer is the solitude of working alone and being able to create all these wonderful stories and interesting characters, that when someone picks up my book to read, they will be so glued to the book, they won't be able to put it down. I love to make my own hours to work, and sometimes I even sit in bed and do my editing as it is so comfortable to work there. And when I'm on the computer writing my stories, I often have music on or sometimes the TV. The best part of being a writer is when someone writes and tells me how much they loved my book.

I always have ideas in my head for books. I used to watch the "Father Brown" series on TV and I even read one of the books. It kind of gave me the idea for my own series, "Minister's Shoes" in which Rev. Castle, a Baptist Minister in a fictional city in Alabama, solves mysteries with the help of the Lord Who appears to him and gives him clues. He is a caring person and he is a very good detective. In my first book of the series, "Minister's Shoes" he has to find Trevor Sampson who took off with his mistress. Trevor's wife ask the Reverend to find her husband. The story involves gambling, a casino deal, and when Cartwright is murdered, Trevor is accused of the murder. Rev. Castle proves he is innocent and helps Trevor and his wife Sada to reunite.
