Kenneth R. Gerety Difficult to say except to describe it as a chimeric amalgamation of life experiences, dreams, psychological and philosophical explorations, and interpretations of how my mind and memory have altered and been altered by my sense of identity. I'd like to state it more simply, but that is difficult for me to do at the moment.
Kenneth R. Gerety Keep it simple, believe in the power of your message, and believe in the value of what you are offering, no matter what the response or lack of response may be from others.
Kenneth R. Gerety The best thing I've discovered is how writing can be a medium and outlet through which a creative mind can vent, while also providing a soothing, therapeutic function, a self-defense mechanism, which is just as effective for a highly imaginative mind as physical exercise may be for an athlete. This is my specific, unique, and personal way of handling stress, anxiety, depression, etc., and it is one of the few things I cannot imagine (despite being highly imaginative) living without.
Kenneth R. Gerety Usually ideas pop into my head whether I'm ready for them or not, but when there's not much going on up top and I feel the need to work on a creative project, the best inspiration for me has always come from music, as well as reading.
Kenneth R. Gerety Sequels to both "Descending: Waves of the Tide Book I" and "Mythology of the Spectrum Volume I: The Cradle and the Tree." Tentative titles for these sequels are "Unkindness" and "The Prism and the Seed" respectively.
Kenneth R. Gerety Most often I tend to procrastinate, find anything to do which distracts me from whatever story I'm trying to write, and by focusing on other things awhile it tends to clear the cobwebs for more clarity and insights.
