I write. When I'm blocked, I open up a document, and I write. Sometimes I write the most ridiculous tripe. Sometimes I write the most aweful pasages. But, by the time I've gone back to discover how bad it is, the block is gone and in the rewriting, I may find some nugget I can use. It's the writers equivalent of "pushing through the pain."

To me being a writer is the most fulfilling profession imaginable. I love to create new and exciting universes to inhabit, and to watch in my minds eye as characters explore all of what it means to be human. To find truth inside a tall tale is both fun and very rewarding!

Never believe you can't be a writer. Say it in the mirror. Say it proudly when people ask you "what do you do?" Say it and then do it. Write! Dream, imagine and create, and then write. You can be a success in so many ways, and you can inspire others to succeed. Don'y give up!

I am working on two very distinct projects. One is a political thriller with a first time author partner, exploring what peoples priorities are or become in difficult times. The other is another "duet" with author AJ Spencer. We are not quite ready to discuss it too much, but I can say, it is going to be a monsterously ambitious multi-book project that will allow us to both collaborate and to work independently in the universe we create.

I wanted to introduce a new case for Lucky, the detective from my first book, but wanted to play with genres a bit and explore another avenue in mystery.
