This will probably sound too simple, but my advice is to - keep writing. It's easy to get discouraged or distracted. Life is full of other things to do. Just keep writing. And don't give up. I wanted to write a book since I was six years old. I finished my first book when I was 58. Keep writing. Don't give up.
